Gender: Male
Sexual identity/orientation: Male; bisexual

Duties: "Corruption of the young mind," as Vash would say. He is an engaging storyteller, sings with a seductive voice, and makes his own instruments, all of which play beautifully. The kids want to listen. A good strategist and advisor, both jobs that if not taken advantage of, his superiors often regret it. This is a fact Daemion has no doubt come to realize.

Hair/armor/feathers/fur: Straight, very shiny, blue-black hair falls in one length to midway down his back. He prefers to wear his hair back in one queue (braid) clasped with a gold clip, which he wraps around his head under his helmet when riding or flying. Periodically he chops it all off at the shoulder to even out the thickness of his hair, and in such cases his hair is merely pulled back in a pony-tail at the base of his neck.
Skin/exoskeleton/scales/markings: The shape of his face is narrow but with a strong jawline, his cheekbones high, features rounded. His skin is, was, and always will be rather dark. Prolonged exposure to the sun only enhances this feature. But typically during cloudy months his skin lightens to a creamy-coffee color, and in the sunny months darkens to more of a mocha-brown. He has one narrow threadscore which falls across his left cheek and the upper bridge of his nose. This and any other scars on his skin are a brownish-pink in color.
Limbs: Pretty typical for a human.
Eyes: Narrowly shaped; golden in color which varies in intensity depending on the light quality, his mood, and his overall health, from anywhere between pale wine-yellow to a deep gold, nearly orange hue.
Size/Physique: Stands at about 6' with a medium build. His hands are not very large, his fingers long and nimble, able to manipulate small/intricate objects; he plays all manner of lutes with relative ease. His shoulders are square and strong.
Clothing: Ve'jas wears dark colors, usually black, midnight blue, and deep purple, but especially dark green, which was once considered an 'unlucky' color. Despite their dark hue, he prefers light, comfortable fabrics, and when he wears leather (belts, riding gloves, pants) they are always black. The belt buckle and a single pair of thick hooped earrings match his hair fastener in design and metal. A wicked, slightly curved, long-bladed knife in his belt, one small pocket knife in each of his boots, and several throwing-knives hidden here and there.
Dexterity: His fingers are pretty strong and nimble to handle both a dragon and the fine-tuning of stringed instruments.
Intelligence: Musically inclined, an excellent teacher and storyteller, and a good enough tactician to be a wingsecond: all symptoms of a keen mind.
First: None.
Attitude: Vash views the world with a dark, wry sense of humor. Often his lips are twisted into a little smirk, brows creased slightly. Ve'jas is also prone to dark moods (anger, mild depression), his stony face enough to deter just about anybody besides his few closest friends. He tends to see different aspects of a situation than other people, which can be like a double-edged sword. Rather than make a situation worse, Ve'jas is not one to shoot his mouth off, lest he make several enemies all at once. After all, almost no one sees it his way, which is perfectly fine, for he would rather watch from the shadows as key elements in a decision make total fools of themselves. For those who can see the value of his perspective, he is more than willing to share, though even those people sometimes find that he is not only wrong, but seeming even more odd for his off-kilter ideas than they had thought...
Hobbies: When he is off-duty, he has a lute case strapped to his back. Whenever he has a chance to settle down, invariably in his room he has about four different varieties at any given time, from ukelele size to six- and twelve-string guitars. When he is done restoring or building an instrument, if he has not grown too attached to it, he sells it for some extra cash.
Plans: .
Much is unknown about Ve'jas, but what is known speaks volumes. He was born and bred P*nese; adopted by a band of nomadic harpers at a very young age, he had already learned to keep his mouth shut about his origins. Even now, there is rare occasion for Vash to speak of his family, even to his friends, though he will admit that he has one brother he knows of back home, a paternal twin and rider of a bronze dragon. They have not been in contact in many years.
His time spent with the traveling bards left him feeling the outsider, even though they pampered him all they could despite their difficult lives. Because of this intangible "otherness," he developed an aloofness and bad attitude.
The harpers taught him a great many skills, the training and learning fed his hungry mind. For example, he learned how to make any manner of lute, and to tune his velvety, seductive singing-voice to accommodate for the different sound qualities of each instrument.
Once when he was older, he was Searched by the very same dragonrider as his long-lost brother, though it was unbeknownst to the two boys at the time. Their coincidental meeting came as a surprise to say the least. They ended up sharing bunks in the Candidate Barracks, though they had chosen their spots at separate times. They Impressed at the very same Hatching too. And later, unbeknownst to the two of them, lost their beloved dragons in tragic accidents.
Currently, Vash, Aqu, and their friends reside in a realm of off-world dragons, some of whose species pre-date the P*nese dragon, and whom make it a hobby raze the countryside and steal the people's riches. Especially gold. Their current missions are all the same: to recruit new members to their guild, though the dragons seem to have other plans in the meantime.
