Physical Description

Hair/Fur/Feathers

Inari's markings are black-pointed like many foxes, but with red tips - arms, legs, tail, feathered wings. His body-fur is fine and almost silky for a canine, and is a light sandy color. Bold reddish stripes reminiscent of Celtic-style tattoos sparsely cover his limbs and torso (chest and belly). His nose and belly are nearly white, ears black with a red bar halfway up. Narrow, tabby-like stripes mark his cheeks, and above his dark brows. His hair is auburn - almost brown, neither dark nor light in shade.

Eyes

Dark blue and slanted like an elf's, Inari's eyes always appears to be smiling. Or thinking. Or scowling... But coupled with the rest of his features he seems cute and ever-happy.

Physique

Medium-height even for a bent-legged anthro with towering feathered wings, Inari is generally unimposing. His musculature, which is not quite willowy but lanky, does not help matters. On the other hand, he has the body-type of a hand-to-hand warrior. A martial artist would recognize the danger instantly. His hands are long and slightly wide for his body, strong and nimble.

Clothing

He usually wears loose clothing that hides much. Chinese fighting-style pants hide how his legs "bend the wrong way" for example. A poncho or similar cowl, cloak, or cape can usually hide a tail and even his wings if they remain folded tight to his body. A head wrap is often used to do the same for his ears and vulpine muzzle.

Personality

Attitude

Inari has an ever-present smile on his face that is partly his facial structure (slanted eyes, wide mouth, etc.), partly practiced mask. He can, if he tries, fake any pain with a smile, trick the eye into believing a sprained ankle is merely a spring in his step. It is part of how he has survived for countless centuries on his own. And you thought it was the cute tail and wings. Strange as it might seem, Inari would rarely risk his own life for anything if given the choice. For a close loved-one yes, but not for a cause or idea. He relies on his wiles and a sense of opportunism; to die in the process of seeing his own ends meet would defeat his greater purpose (whatever that might be at the time). So while his sense of justice and loyalty are great, he would rather see an opponent win the battle than give up his chances at winning the war.

Likes/Dislikes

Though he is the cook, the way to Inari's heart is through his stomach. It is about his favorite thing in the whole world! He also has a bad habit for sticking out for the little guy, playing the vigilante by pretending to be frail when really he is not, just to attract the right predator to punish with his own brand of justice. But he really has a hard time allowing people to wallow in their own self-pity, which leads to one of his larger vices, that of his tendancy to meddle in other people's business. Usually this is focused solely on those he considers close family and friends, and only those whose problems should never have been allowed to continue for so long.

Hobbies

Can cook with the best of them, like Voivode's very own, personal Iron Chef.

Abilities/Talents

He has a strange affinity with nature and animals, and can calm or befriend, "charm," any creature or person that allows him to (in other words, one that is not openly hostile).
