As a child, and as a draconar, to learn all she can about the world around her by investigating various nooks and by asking all the questions she can think of, is her most enjoyable duty. However, she also likes to help her mother Cyna, L'Talia her caretaker, and sometimes even G'taeo, with their chores -- when she has time! Hair
Caké's hair falls in light golden-brown waves past her shoulder. It is shiny and well-groomed, a result of being the daughter of a public servant. There is nothing that reflects more poorly on a business than shabby-looking "employees," after all. It is fine and unruly, and while it was cut into one length and is held back into a braid normally, a halo of short ringlets covers her head. Another interesting feature is the matching braids she and her mother wear. Caké's is a thin strip of hair that is longer than the rest of her golden-brown locks, and worn on the left side of her head, just behind her ear.Eyes
Large and brown like rum, Caké maintains a look of innocence spiced with hurt and lonely restraint. Her eyebrows, which she inherited from her mother, are naturally narrow and well-shaped.Physique
She is small-boned, but still has the round face and pudgy fingers of a small child. Her digits are nimble for one her age however. Her face is in general, somewhere between oval and square in shape, her forehead when revealed by her hair is slightly prominent.Dress
Caké's clothes are all hand-me-downs, though nice enough and serviceable. She usually wears sleeveless dresses with a short-sleeved shirt underneath, though when it's cold out she often wears a coat, gloves, and pair of leggings as well.• Personality •
Additude
Caké is a seemingly carefree girl, both endlessly inquisitive and intelligent. She is happy to go anywhere with her mother or L'Talia, to either help or simply watch what is going on. The two women have been careful to shelter the girl from harm, both psychological and physical, even in a life of servitude and sometime-violence, and as a result, she has remained innocent, even for one her age. However, whether it is a natural ability or a side-effect of being so near two tainted women, Caké is perceptive in the qualities of man. She can tell, whether she understands them or not, a person's intentions rather quickly. She is a good judge of character, and will warm up to a kind stranger more quickly than most children her age, especially since under her mother's watchful eye, she has been able to make preciously few friends. However, those she finds to be "not quite right" are often spurned with surprising force, as she pouts, frowns, hides, or whatever it enters into her mind to do.Hobbies
She likes to collect small, pretty things, and keeps them in a well-worn, child-sized satchel. Inside it one might find fancy scraps of cloth, pieces of sea-glass, colorful pebbles, and the like. She also keeps tiny figurines of horses and dragons, and some snacks, because with a little food, her toys and imagination can keep her preoccupied for hours.• Family •
Bond
Orange-Cream Sezjaiiz; at age 6, Caké was the youngest ever to bond at Ryslen, so perhaps it is appropriate that despite her coloring, Jai is smaller than a normal Green.Father
Though it is most likely their former master, no one is really sure who Caké's father really is.Mother
Cyna (pronounced see NAH), until meeting G'taeo, was a slave kept by the owner of the bar he ducked into during the Fiery Fall Frenzy. She had many purposes, mainly as a pleasure slave for her beauty and talents, and as a maid cleaning up the rooms of the inn upstairs. Caké was certainly not the product of a steamy liaison between lovers. In her experience, Cyna has come to hate men for their mistreatment of her, and for bringing her darling daughter into such a harsh world.Siblings
Cyna has another little one on the way, most likely a child of the same sire. Likely they will not know even after the child is born.Extended "Family"
L'Talia might as well be a furry aunt because she is almost always nearby when Cyna and Caké are around. She is protective and affectionate with them like no one else, and the girl loves her almost as much as her own mother.Pets
| While Cyna was away, Caké became immeasurably lonely, despite being surrounded by friends, both old and new. Finally, G'taeo got it into his mind that if she had someone to care for, it would get her mind off of her mother. So on a day when he was free to roam, he and Xerbith went on a quest to find a firelizard nest. He found one. He has never divulged the entire reason for it, but he actually came home with two eggs, one of which he gave to Caké, the other to L'Talia. The little Blue that hatched from Caké's egg broke shell with the coming with the first snow of the year. She named him Snowflake. |
