• Physical Description •

Hair/fur

L'Talia's long mane of silky, straight hair is silvery white in color, held back in several places so that it falls squarely down her back. When she spins or tosses her head, it whips about like a second tail. Her fur is marked with varying shades of grey, with thin tabby-stripes marking her face. Her limbs, including her long whip-like tail, are silvery-grey halfway up.

Eyes

Like all Alarchacians, L'Talia's are very catlike, somewhat large and slanted, but with lion-like circular pupils. L'Talia's are a startling orange and spirited, a quality her former master liked in his slaves.

Physique

Quite literally, L'Talia is all legs, which is a trait common to her people. Slender and lithe, a dancer seemed to be the only job for her. She, like all Alarchacians, is a natural dancer, which might at first seem ridiculous. All legs and arms, one would think she'd fall all over herself! But to be reminded of such creatures as the Terran giraffe with its low-moving, liquid grace like the dance of a willow tree, and all questions are put aside. The side-effect of this is that while Alarchacians are of "normal" height, between five and six feet for example, this also makes them rather small. L'Talia is about 5'9".

Appearance

Long, slender, tufted ears and orange eyes seem to dominate L'Talia's facial features. Her straight nose, which has hide like a cat's, is black, it's bridge a dark blueish-grey. Her flat-featured face is tabby-striped in the same color, as well as her whiskery eyebrows. Probably the most bizarre feature is the classic Alarchacian digit. All members of her race have two fingers and a thumb on each hand, and three toes per foot. The last joint on each digit is more of a hoof than a nail or claw, heavy and blunt and like L'Talia's, usually medium-grey in color.

Dress

L'Talia is used to wearing slinky, transparent, and downright scandalous clothing. It is a difficult habit to break, except that during Ryslen's harsh winters warm clothing is essential. With some less-humanoid alien residents (kin and the like), comfortable leg-coverings are readily available, though she prefers a capri-cut in her pants. Soft, billowing sweaters have also become a favorite.

Additude

L'Talia is in a period of transition, and is not quite sure of anything anymore. What she knows about people and about the very world itself is not necessarily true, and this scares her terribly. She tries to cope with any awkward situation by showing no emotion, by going with the flow. If this doesn't work, she will often snap at others, or turn to something she is familiar with, like the care of Caké and L'Olo. She has the potential to do a great many things. She has the courage to go on great adventures, the patience to rear children, and untapped wells of love and affection. She could do just about anything at this point, if she could only take that first step, to get past her fears of the unknown and of being alone.

Hobbies

Even though it was her job while a slave, L'Talia does enjoy dancing. It is a form of meditation for her, a way of acting out the music while soaring above the clouds with her mind -- or thinking of nothing at all!

Cyna and Caké are like a sister and niece to her. With Cyna, she knows she can trust her life. Caké will always regard her as an aunt, and will willingly go wherever she goes, and will follow her instructions to the best of her ability. The trust goes both ways, and L'Talia feels that she can trust no one else. However, with the coming of G'taeo, that belief is being put to the test.

Pets

A flitter egg was the only gift a man had ever given to her without asking anything in return. That was the beginning of a whole new way of thinking for L'Talia, though it is a slow progress. G'taeo has challenged every belief she has ever had, and so far he's winning. This little flitter turned out to be very special indeed, reminding her that there is such a thing as love, and that true love is unconditional. So when she named him she took great care: L'Olo'Nyo, which comes from the African name, Lolonyo, meaning "love is beautiful." But don't tell Gero that.
