His duty first and foremost, has always been, through skills learned from his parents, to survive and care for himself, which includes being self-sufficient and being able to get himself out of trouble when he couldn't avoid it.

Spiral ringlets fall down in one length between his shoulder blades when left alone, but he usually pulls it back into a single long spiral.
• Eyes
Hazel-brown in color: a mossy-green band surrounds a medium brown that encircles the pupil.

He has a medium stature even for his age, standing at about 5'9" with a moderate, lean musculature.
• Appearance
Both of his parents are quite attactrive, and having passed that on to the next generation, Kade inherited very regular features, including a heart-shaped face and widow's peak, strong jawline, slightly narrow nose, expressive lips, and high cheekbones. His eyebrows are naturally a little narrow, eyes large and framed with a long fringe of eyelashes. From his father he inherited naturally tanned skin and curly hair, from his mother dimples on his chin.

After many years of living alone -- that is, with one parent or the other and sometimes his sister -- he has learned to keep to himself. He is quiet and reserved, selfish in a survivalist's sense, yet polite with eyes averted unless spoken to. Naturally he is somewhat noble, which, when he comes to the defense of a friend often surprises people. He has always been forced to look out for himself and his family, but believes it is time to think of others for a change.
• Likes and Dislikes
Though he has the knack, something that runs on both sides of the family, Kade hates music. He has a beautiful talent with stringed instruments and a liquid singing voice to match, but fears what a self-composed song can tell about a person. Without saying a word, a musician can reveal things about his or her life that they had no intention of sharing. On the otherhand, he enjoys strenuous or repetitive work, that which requires no thought to perform. He finds that it clears his mind of troubling thoughts. Among his favorite activities are sewing (embroidery especially) and artwork (drawing and painting). These two hobbies of his allow him to express his view of the world without revealing too much about himself.
