¤ Name
Kigai-Reinou "Vehya-ilaasu" Hikaru
     (pronounced kee-guy-ray-noh vay-yah-ee-lah-soo hee-ka-roo)

¤ Meanings
Vehya's full name, Kigai-Reinou Hikaru comes from the Japanese words meaning "strong spirit," "spiritual ability," and "to shine" or "be bright." Vehya-ilaasu is her astral name, that which she found while meditating, and that she uses while spirit-walking.

¤ Species/nationality
Most simply, she is half human, half dragon, but it is not that simple. Vehya's mother is a Terran human, from the nation known as America. Her father is a mix himself; half Asian, Fantasan elderspirit, and half something else. Omaji's form is that of a "luckdragon," a furry whitish dragon with features snakey, leonid, and canine. Vehya's heritage is diverse to say the least.

¤ Physical Description ¤

¤ Eyes
Large and slightly slanted, yellow in color, with round pupils.

¤ Physique
In the generally humanoid sense, she is tall and trim, with attractively shapely, rock-hard muscles rippling under smooth, almost invisibly-small scales. Dexterous hands, feet and digits, are off-set by a long, whiplike, but powerful tail.

¤ Appearance
Overall, she is humanoid in shape, with a thick, luxurious mane of curly golden-brown hair and human-like, expressive eyes and lips. The similarity pretty much stops there, with her slightly floppy ears, plated but flexible armor, and a fine coating of creamy fur that covers the majority of her body. Over her armored belly, she has thin, whispy white feathers. Her scales are pearly-pink, whitish, or tan, with a faint iridescence reminiscent of human skin. Her claws are also light-pink, looking much like abnormally thick, pointed finger nails. Her face is slightly long, with a blunt muzzle and a vaguely canine nose, well-defined brows and cheekbones. Her teeth are decidedly carnivorous. She has four fingers and a thumb per hand; three toes and a dewclaw per wide, muscular, clawed foot.

¤ Clothing
In her true form, none, for her scales form a sort of covering that makes running around naked not indecent. In human form, she wears whatever is normal in the locale. On earth, it would most likely be some brown jeans with boot-cut pantlegs, darker brown boots, a jacket, and short-sleeved shirt.

¤ Personality ¤

¤ Attitude
Calm and collective, almost arrogant, one gets the impression early on that Vehya is a bit of a snob. But she is well-traveled, and once she gets the socal nuances down, can almost fit in with any locale. She is one to think carefully before making important decisions for herself, and may spend hours meditating before making up her mind. She is quick enough on her feet however, and can make spur-of-the-moment decisions. Like anyone else, this can get her into heaps of trouble, and if later on decides that she made the wrong choice, will berate herself viciously about it. Vera has spent much time trying to teach her to accept her decisions regardless of their relative "stupidity" and slowly, she has become a little easier on herself.

¤ Hobbies
Vehya loves to travel to places her mother has described in her writings over the years, and study in-depth the culture, history, and other bits of the society that makes it unique. Then, just for fun, she writes it up in the style her mother has taught her, and submits it to Vera. Then, if they think the material will sell, Vehya sets to writing a book about the place, to sell there. When she was much younger, when Vera was still writing regularly, she loved to follow her around and "help," which also meant that she was getting in the way.

¤ Talents/abilities
Vehya has inherited varied and mysterious abilities from both parents. From her mother, she has inherited a combination empathy-telepathy in which she is capable of projecting her self onto the astral plane. In this state she is able to travel to any place, and even any time (though she rarely uses this ability), to find someone. She can communicate with the individual depending on their receptivity. For example, someone who is a little empathic may be able to receive feelings, or impressions, even words from Vehya, but may not be able to reply. Likewise, Vehya may feel someone's thoughts, but might not be able to reply. Abilities from her father are hidden within, and less accessable than those from her mother. They require training and use to first discover, then develop them. The one ability she has discovered is that when extremely agitated, she has a tendancy to make electronics erupt with sparks, to increase static within a room to such that anyone with hair will find it standing on end, and even to make lightning arc through the sky. Also, she has learned to shape shift -- but only into a human or a dragon. She cannot change her appearance to an object or other living being. Perhaps with time, and extensive training, this will change.

A dragon, born at the Ring of Fire, a result of the Summer of Flames frenzy once "covered" by Vera, his future bond and mate. His name is Omajinai Hikaru, a dog-like elderspirit with immense power.
