He was born at the minercrafthall beholden to his homeWeyr while his parents were on a sort of ambassadorial visit. They stayed long enough to finish his father's business and until it was safe to travel back to the Weyr. He and his elder brother were apprenticed to their father's craft until they were far enough to branch off into their specific fields of interest. Appreciating his mother's metalworking abilities, creating even delicate figurines and such, the boy decided to go into that field, where he obtained his Journeyman's knots.
