Like his younger brother he was raised and taught as an apprentice by his father, their parents allowing them to narrow down their careers as they chose. He chose Stonesmithy because he actually liked the physical effort involved, without the lung-clogging atmosphere of a mine. As a Journeyman, like his brother later on, he chose DragonHope as a first assignment. But he was formerly Searched, and decided to give Candidacy a try.
