Hammering away in the forge...he rarely sees the light of day as a result. Lately, he has decided to stand as a candidate hoping that a good sturdy dragon would help him deliver his goods. Therefore, he has put his freetime to good use by studying about the dragons of Darkling Dawn, and the rider's way of life.

• Hair
His dirty-blond hair is cut close along his head but a little longer on top. His eyelashes and brows are pale blond.

Large, long-lashed light brown eyes.
• Physique
Baby-fat seems to have finally fled Jazsen, from spending over two years as a full-time Smith, leaving him the "ox" everyone thought he would one day be. His stalwart strength of body and character preceed his 6'4" frame as he walks through the halls, and despite his weight, walks with a lightness of step.
• Appearance
He has a boyish, round-shaped face set with a medium-wide nose and full, expressive lips. With his ruddy skin, he always seems to be blushing even when his expression is calm. Several burn scars criss-cross his arms, obtained working in his metal shop.
• Clothing
Jazsen has had few occasions to wear formal clothing, most of which came second hand from the Weyr's stores. His life has been focused primarily on metalworking, so he grew accustomed to wearing a leather apron and heavy-duty canvas trousers. He always wears black boots and his short-sleeved shirts are streaked and stained. Little has changed since he moved to Darkling Dawn, though he has become mindful of his appearance in public. Because of this, he always has a few pairs of presentable clothing. Noteable accessories include the heavy leather apron and a wide belt carrying various tools for his craft.

He is big and burly, jovial and huggable: the teddy bear sort. He's been known to dip into the stew pot at off-hours or share a skin of wine with friends and bards well into the night. However, as with most riders and crafters, his smithy comes first. If he isn't out socializing, he will most likely be in the forge.
• Hobbies
Sometimes there are little scraps of metal left over at the end of a day, and if the fancy strikes him, he may create a little figurine made of strips of metal wound together, reminding one of balls of yarn, and welded together. These he will line up on a shelf to show children, if they happen to visit the forge out of curiosity, and will let them choose one they like.
