Skin/exoskeleton/scales/markings: His hair can only be described as "dishwater" brown. It falls in loose waves to his neck, in a sort of modified bowl cut. It looks like it was chopped off with a sharp knife, and probably was.

Strength: His dragon is not the only strongman of the pair. By'es can outlift just about anyone, and likes to play at arm wrestling, even though no one is willing to bet against him.

[He is] well known for being very selfish.
Attitude: He dislikes his status (or rather, lack thereof) but rarely shows hostility to his superiors. Also, he has done little to raise himself in the ranks. His complaints about status seem half-hearted, or something he has latched onto for the sake of complaining. After all, some things that truly bother him may seem like bragging, such as his appearance. He keeps quiet about that, but he has always attracted unwanted attention for his looks alone. True, he has little education to make him an intellectually interesting man, but looks are not everything.
Hobbies: Besides arm wrestling, he loves to do more physical activities outside. For example, as soon as it is warm enough in the Spring, he is in the water swimming. He loves dragon-rider sports and has considered helping arrange friendly tournaments.
Plans: He wants to be in a position to raise children, even if they're someone else's. His parents did the bare minimum to raise him and he would like to raise the next generation differently. He wants to be involved in their care, and he feels a great need to help them get an education. He never had that, and would be very proud to see them achieve, by leaps and bounds, far more than he ever will.
Byrinyes was born the bastard child of two wanderers. There was little wrong with being a bastard, but for the fact that his mother was not the woman his father had married. The scandal in a small community threatened to tear them apart, and so Byrinyes was not treated very kindly. His parents gave him the bare minimum to live with, and his response was to believe and act like one who has no options in life and will never amount to anything. It made him bitter and selfish and mean.
As he grew up, he discovered that his looks were something that people reacted to favorably. He got lots of attention as that pretty little boy. He learned to curb his anger and act as though he was as sweet as his face. He learned to manipulate people and it got him more than he had expected. When he was old enough, he learned that that his parents' extramarital affair was frowned upon and why. He learned it the hard way and earned himself a broken nose among many other bumps and bruises in fights.
Eventually, he turned 18 and a Search was arranged in secret. He did not want anybody to know. He wanted to start over, if he could. The dragon saw something salvageable in the young man and he was whisked away to Blackstone where he Impressed not long after. In the eleven years since then Yeoth has shown him a completely different world in dragoning. He became a better man and learned to enjoy life. He came to understand his past in a constructive way, though it took much time and growing to do so. Now he wants a family of his own, but he wants to do things differently. Hopefully he will get the chance like he had with his dragon, especially with their move off-planet to one called N'tyr Phii.
