Hair/armor/feathers/fur: Her hair is short, like a baker's chocolate colored helmet of tight ringlets that cover her head.
Skin/exoskeleton/scales/markings: She loves the out-of-doors, and even if she did not she would have a rich-brown color to every inch of her body.
Limbs: She has many scrapes and scars covering her limbs, mostly from the elbow and knee down to the tops of her hands and feet, respectively.
Eyes: Her almost abnormally large eyes are of deepest smoky-quartz black, with a soft ring of red-brown in the center.
Size/Physique: Shimaji's thin, wiry frame is only average in height, which makes her downright tiny in the presence of her adult siblings! By all appearances, there is barely any definition in her thin muscles, though to pinch one on her arm for example would reveal tension and strength.
Other: As rambunctious as she might be, she still loves little barettes and embroidered heavy-duty (denim, canvas) one-piece dresses with matching little short-shorts. One might think she was much younger than she is but she just can't help her tastes. She will gladly wear a coverall in place of the dress, she would get both equally dirty. Her preferred shoe is an all-terrain mary-jane style with no socks.
Animal-shifting: She has this capability and has been studying intensively since she was a very young child. However, she has yet to master the technique to call up her spirit let alone to shift. No one yet knows what form it may have, except perhaps Shimaji herself.
Empathy: Shimaji has always had the ability to some extent put herself into another's shoes. It has been more a mental exercise than an ability, before Shant'Sayu, whom has shown search dragon capabilities. Now things have changed, who knows how their link will develop this trait.

Attitude: Shimaji is in general a carefree and cheerful girl with lots of energy. She is a hard worker and rarely complains about the work she is asked to do. She almost unfailingly wakes up with a sunny smile on her face. She says it's because almost every morning just before she opens her eyes she can almost see the smiling face of a woman she cannot name but recognizes looking down upon her in beams of light. Because of this, she prefers to sleep near a window.
Hobbies: She feels great admiration for the elder men in her life and has developed a knack for metal work in the process. She is particularly nimble with her little fingers and likes to spin and weave metals into wires (as with metal stringed instruments and cords), jewelry and other decorative pieces. She would like to develop this further though it remains more of a hobby due to her real plans.
Plans: Though it might be nice to sell her wares someday (jewelry especially), she really wants to become a dragonrider like her elder brother Z'sig. He only bonded a green, so maybe she could surpass him, with a brown, even... would that be disrespectful, if she surpassed both her dragon-riding siblings? To surpass everyone? Wouldn't they be proud? Surely they would.
Though she does not overtly remember her mother, she enjoy's the woman's love and presence every day. Shimaji has a unique bond with the Other Side, though it comes so natural to her that she neither discusses it, except offhandedly, nor questions it. It helps that her family is so spiritual to begin with. Everything she mentions they take for granted is the truth, according to her perspective. So she can see her mother sometimes, she is blessed to feel that kind of connection and peace. Others might feel jealous, quite frankly.
She feels that she was raised by each of her surviving elder siblings, Magjhizu, Zansig, and Fhariji, in no particular order. Because of the strong inclinations toward the crafts and dragonriding, she feels a natural pull in that direction. She does not question what she is good at, what she enjoys, and their protection of her from the worst aspects of life. What could not be hidden from her was often suffered in her presence on the shoulders of her twin brother, Jamizi. Though he is only hours younger than her, he feels just as protective as anyone, and has literally fought on her behalf a time or two. If only she could somehow make them all feel as proud of her as she feels for them.
